Report | I attended the XII European Meeting on Glial Cells in Health and Disease in Bilbao, Spain. 1200 participants and 650 posters make it the largest and most outstanding meeting focusing specifically on glial cells in Europe. During the poster sessions I could convince other scientists that Scanning Ion Conductance Microscopy (SICM), the method I am working with, is a well-suited technique to study three-dimensional morphology changes of living glial cells in culture. Moreover, I got into touch with a lot of international scientists, who had not heard from the Ruhr-University, before, but know now that glial cell research is performed here, opening new possibilities for future cooperations. bilbao2015.gliameeting.eu |
