| Report | The Research School Plus funding allowed me to stay for four months at the University of Syracuse. During my stay I participated in various meetings and reading groups in Syracuse. I presented a paper at the annual conference of the Association for Asian Studies in Denver and attended a meeting of the Society for the Anthropology of Religion in Toronto. Furthermore, I conducted several interviews with Buddhist charities (which are my research focus) in the US and Canada. The research stay helped me significantly to finalize and improve several parts of my dissertation and to establish international contacts to other PhD-students and researchers working on similar topics. |
