| Report | Within my PhD thesis I am working on the antibacterial functionalization of implant materials. Funded by the Ruhr University Research School PLUS, I had the opportunity to go abroad for the second time during my PhD and spend the fall 2019 at Princeton University. In the group of Prof. Dr. Sujit Datta I tested the antibacterial effect of my samples live using a high-resolution confocal microscope. To be more precise, I analyzed the bacterial swimming behavior of E. coli and got to know how long it takes until the antibacterial effect of the samples becomes effective. Overall it was a great experience for me, and I am very thankful for getting the chance to work again at Princeton University. dattalab.princeton.edu |
