| Report | My PhD project is about the Roman triumphal arches in Asia Minor (Turkey). As they are completely underresearched, it is essential to visit these monuments and to do hands-on research. In doing so the British archaeological institute at Ankara (BIAA) supported me in several ways. Thanks to their huge network I not only gained access to archaeological sites and several archives but was also provided with a safe backup for my travels through Turkey. Besides that, I got in contact with international experts to discuss my results. Finally, the Institute’s Library is recognised to be one of the best in its field (Anatol. archaeology) and helped me to speed up my research a great deal. https://biaa.ac.uk/ |
