Report | My research focuses on digital learning, particularly on how educational technologies can enhance learning with visual representations in individual and collaborative contexts. Digital learning research requires an interdisciplinary perspective. To develop effective educational technologies, I draw on psychology research about productive learning processes, on educational research about how to design instruction that enhances learning outcomes, and on computer science to use data to inform the development scalable technologies. In line with my research focus, I put a strong emphasis to interdisciplinary graduate education in teaching and mentoring. During several visits to Prof. Dr. Rummel's research group, I was able to establish strong ties with herself and with several of her graduate students. |
