Report Research Explorer Ruhr (RER) is an outstanding opportunity to work through the options and opportunities for doing post-doctoral research with researchers in your field in Germany. This programme is structured to expertly facilitate getting to know how to build research careers in Germany, something which is difficult to achieve through one's own explorations of available information. But the programme does more than focus on the academic life. It also facilitates building valuable networks with international researchers and provides activities for getting to know the culture, history and glimpses of the futures of the Ruhr Area. This was a highly valuable experience that I feel privileged and special to have been given. I have established long-lasting connections to people and discussed with them ideas for research possibilities that have become part of my overall research programme. I look forward to turning this opportunity into reality in the near future!
