Report In March 2022 I participated in the International Field Course on Physical Volcanology which took place on Tenerife, Spain. Tenerife Island is the perfect place to conduct a field course on physical volcanology, as it contains one of the most spectacular and accessible volcanic landscapes in the world. The obtained experiences have improved my knowledge in volcanology and will facilitate my future fieldwork in the crater of Mount St. Helens, USA, where I investigate volcano-ice interactions related to lava dome emplacement through a growing glacier. Physical volcanology is essential to understand volcanic landscapes and for conducting fieldwork on volcanic edifices. Due to the funding by the Research School Plus I was able to be part of this very exciting and important field course.
