Report |
The RUB research groups of Martin Muhler and Viktor Scherer met with Osvalda Senneca, CNR, during the International SFB/TRR 129 Oxyflame Workshop in Montabaur on the 10th/11th of February 2016. Osvalda gave a keynote lecture on the “relevance of structure and reactivity of solid fuels in combustion systems”. Collaboration has continued by PhD research internships. Sebastian Heuer, May-June 2016, and Annika Wütscher, May-July 2017, went to CNR-IRC Naples. Francesca Cerciello, from the University of Naples Federico II, visited Ruhr University of Bochum from July to September 2016. In spring 2018 Sebastian Krusch from Bochum went to naples for six weeks. From April 27th - 30th, 2017 a joint PhD student workshop took place at CNR-Naples with 30 PhD students from both parties present. On 11-INFUB conference, also taking place in April 2017, Viktor and Osvalda gave keynote lectures in presence of Bochum PhD students. Osvalda has been appointed as associate scientist in the SFB/TR129 Oxyflame in 2017, which will further foster the collaboration. A joint research proposal has been submitted in the framework of the EC-RFCS fund. The very fruitful collaboration has already created 17 joint Senneca-PhD sudents publications under the supervision of Osvalda, and 3 further are submitted. Bochum and Naples PhD students have participate in the 10th Mediterranean Combustion Symposium in Naples in September 2017. Five Naples scientist took part in the 2nd International Oxyflame work shop in Bochum February 2018. In May 2018 a joint Meeting of the Italian and German Section of the Combustion Institute took place. An initiative, which is also embedded in current collaboration. Publications: [1] F.
