Report | The conference "Experimentelle Archäologie - Wie geht das?" was organized by the Network of Swiss Archaeology (AS) and aimed at discussing the state of experimental archaeology in Switzerland. The reason why I was able to participate, despite working mostly in Sardinia and not in Switzerland, is a cooperation with the swiss company 'Archaeolytics'. Within this cooperation we used the topic of my PhD to test an approach that combines landscape archaeology, experimental archaeology and material analysis to investigate raw material appropriation related to prehistoric pottery production. The conference gave us the opportunity to present the concept and preliminary results of our project. |
