| Report | In May 2022 I attended the 17th Biennial Conference of the European Union Studies Association in Miami to present an extensive research paper on the concept of European Sovereignty, together with my supervisor. The paper was a culmination of the findings from the sovereignty-stage of my PhD project transferred to the context of the European Union. Presenting it meant that I got to put my findings to the test in terms of their validity on an abstract level and expose them to a specialist audience. The conference was an extremely valuable opportunity to not only present major intermediate findings from my research, but also to challenge myself to boil down the products of 1.5 years of research and writing to a presentable research paper, which challenged me to thoroughly reflect on my findings. I did not only receive much appreciated feedback, but also new contacts to scholars and practitioners from around the world. |
