Report | The participation in the conference "Commercial Law at the Time of Change: New Imperatives and International Standards" served on the one hand to present aspects of my dissertation and to discuss them with the participants present. On the other hand, the conference provided the framework to present our chair at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, the current EU projects, and subsequently enter into further cooperation discussions with Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT). I also used my time on-site to talk to a few more experts in my field of research and to conduct interviews for my dissertation. Security and energy issues are important for Central Asia and a pivotal point for European Union´s work with the states in this region. How China is active there and what impact this has on the above-mentioned fields of cooperation is one of the goals of my research. |
