Report | During my research stay in Uzbekistan at the Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT), I conducted several expert interviews. As WIUT had invited me to its School of Law as a visiting scholar, I received excellent local support. In addition to my own work for the dissertation, I was able to exchange ideas with colleagues on site and experience how university life works in Uzbekistan. They gave me the chance to present my doctoral project in a research seminar and gain feedback on my progress. Moreover, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Uzbekistan and the DAAD local office, WIUT hosted the international competition Falling Walls Lab. Therefore, I was selected to be part of the jury and enjoyed the innovative ideas of young Uzbek scholars. At the end of my three months stay, WIUT and RUB signed a Memorandum of Understanding on academic cooperation for future developments between the two institutions. |
