| Report | The Mid-European Clay Conference is an important platform for science and industry in the field of clay-based technologies. The conference provides not only scientific exchange, but also extensive networking opportunities in both directions. For me, however, there was a special motivation to attend the conference, as my PhD thesis was awarded the Karl Jasmund Prize by the German Clay and Clay Minerals Group. In this context, I was invited to present my work to a wide audience and to make new contacts in research and industry. One of these established contacts has already started the exchange of ideas for a joint project. At the meeting of the German Clay and Clay Minerals Group held during the conference, I was elected to the scientific council. |
