Report |
I study potential factors of T-helper cell dysregulation in Immune Mediated Peripheral Neuropathy (IPN). However, Th cells are subject to an extremely broad regulatory cycle which makes pinpointing relevant factors challenging. During my research stay at the institute, I was able to work on a Th cell focused project, that have equipped me with novel knowledge and new experimental methods. These have had a huge impact on my current PhD project, since I gained a lot of inspiration for my work and were able to discuss my project with experienced researchers of my field. This directly influenced the direction of my PhD project in my home laboratory. This Research Stay helped me to build a firm ongoing collaboration/network with experienced researchers of my field, with whom I am able to continously discuss projects and ideas and design new collaboration- projects with my home institute. This experience was incredibly inspirational and will forever be unforgettable for me ! I have learned so much for my research, academical career and have grown so much as a person and as a young researcher. Getting to know so many inspirational people in my research area of immunology and neuroimmunology has been and will be of such incredible value for me. Being able to be part of the wonderful research world at Harvard and being able to internationalize my personal research profile has been my dream and aim since I started my Bachelor's degree in Biology at Ruhr University Bochum in 2013. Thank you for have making this possible for me as a young researcher at Ruhr University Bochum with your RUB Research School 'Project International' (PR.INT) !! Forever grateful for this huge impact on my early research profile ! |
