Report |
My research stay began at the Archaeological Museum in Ankara (Museum of Anatolian Civilization). I received permission in advance from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Museums to work in the museums and their depots. Despite this official permission, working in the depot was not possible - as planned. Instead, the Turkish colleagues in Ankara supported me with an inventory list. This allowed me to continue working on the catalogue with regard to materials and measures. In Diyarbakir, work in the archaeological museum and in the depot was also not possible, despite permission from the ministry. So I took photos to complete my catalogue. I was able to revise some contexts. I also visited the site Çayönü because of the architectural development in the Neolithic period and to compare it with other temporary sites. It was very important to work on the site and to see it on air. |
