Report The Conference “The European Union in International Affairs – Europe´s Pathways to (Dis)Engagement with the World” (EUIA23) was organized by the Brussels School of Governance (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), Egmont – The Royal Institute for International Relations and other partners. From May 3rd to 5th, over fifty panels were held by around 300 participants from doctoral students to Chairmans of EU Committees. Topics were wide ranging from internal debates on the EU´s challenges to international debates such as the Green Deal in Africa as part of the EU´s financing. Or security challenges beyond the EU´s borders. Our panel, titled “Connectivity and Security: The Case of EU-Asia Relations” tackled Data Security concepts of the EU and China, Chinese routes´ transport security across Eurasia, Climate Change in Green Taxonomy Discourses and the EU and China in Central Asia – (Dis)Connecting with Energy and Security Issues.
