Report | My doctoral research focuses on exploring key parameters that influence mechanochemical reactions, often overlooked in conventional screenings. Factors such as the movement pattern and geometry of the milling ball, along with reaction temperature, play crucial roles but are frequently neglected. Bridging this gap requires a systematic examination of these significant variables, particularly the reaction temperature, which tends to be disregarded in standard analyses. Supported by the Pr.int Research School Grant, I had the privilege of conducting a research stay in Dr. Krunoslav Užarević's group, where, as my second supervisor, he proved not only to be an outstanding scientist but also facilitated access to unique equipment for cooling and heating our chosen reference reaction. This provided valuable insights into the temperature dynamics of a directly mechanocatalytically conducted reaction—a relatively novel aspect in chemical research. Moreover, collaborating with Dr. Užarević's working group and other colleagues expanded my scientific network, opening avenues for future collaborative endeavors. |
