Report |
I was privileged to work at the chair of Prof. Philip Shapira at the University of Manchester during my stay abroad. Our joint research project is concerned with examining the positioning of individual researchers within the dynamic process of science convergence - which describes the development of a new interdisciplinary field of science. Presenting our preliminary findings to his research group was an invaluable experience, allowing for rich discussions and different perspectives. In addition, the visit of my supervisor, Prof. Stefanie Bröring, allowed us to deepen our research discussions. I am looking forward to further developing our joint research project. A highlight was the opportunity to participate in a stimulating winter school focused on AI for science, technology and innovation policy. The intensive sessions provided a comprehensive understanding of the interface between AI and policy making and offered a new perspective for my ongoing research. My special thanks go to the PR.INT program, whose support made this enriching experience possible. Manchester, with its vibrant academic atmosphere and cultural diversity, proved to be an inspiring environment for research and personal discovery. The blend of history, innovation and warm hospitality is worth experiencing the city first-hand. |
