Report | For the duration of the stay, I joined the CyberBuild working group and designated the time to do research as part of my dissertation project. In particular, I studied how escape plans in buildings can be leveraged to enhance digital building models with locations and types of fire safety equipment. The results of the study are planned to be published in a joint article with my host at the University of Edinburgh. Working in CyberLab gave me the chance to receive expert feedback for my work, exchange ideas with other doctoral researchers in a multi-national environment, and, finally, enjoy the beautiful Scottish heritage and landscapes. I am very grateful for the support by the Research School, by my supervisors, and by the host university. |
