Report | My PhD project is focused on the term “Völkerrechtsfreundlichkeit des Grundgesetzes” (constitutional friendliness towards international law). During February and March 2024, I had the opportunity to carry put comparative legal research on the Austrian and Swiss constitution`s friendliness towards Public International Law and the respective limits. For this comparative legal research project at the law faculty in Basel I secured Prof. Dr. Andreas Müller, LL.M. (Yale) as a cooperation partner. The input of Prof. Dr. Müller was very helpful for my research. Additionally, I presented my doctoral project in front of members of the Basel law faculty. This further enabled discussions and opportunities for me to network with Swiss academics. The research stay gave me the opportunity to meet with interesting people and discuss research ideas. Altogether, the research stay gave me important input for my professional work - with regard to my doctoral project and beyond. |
